Paola Seguel. My creative journey!
Nourished by over two decades, has been a river of constant transformation. I began devoted to canvas and color, where each painting (oil, acrylic, or pointillism) emerged as a dialogue with the divine.
These works crossed oceans, exhibited from American galleries to European and Hispanic Americans spaces. Yet it was in the stillness of mandalas that I discovered meditation in motion: creating to silence the mind and awaken the soul.
Myspirit, ever expansive, yearned for new languages!
The answerarrived wrapped in the mist of Taxco’s mountains, Mexico. This town, wheresilver flows like ancestral lifeblood, embraced me with the luminous humilityof its craftsmen.
Among cobblestone streets and centuries-old kilns!
I understood that hands forging beauty are not mere creators: they are alchemists
transmuting metal into tangible poetry.
Forme, the title ‘craftsman’ honors artists who write stories with hammer and fire!
Thus arosethe sacred question: How to shape the visions dwelling within? The answer camethrough serendipitous encounters with master silversmiths, earthly angels, whodeciphered my sketches and breathed life into jewels. Living silver adornedwith lapis lazuli, amber, or opal: minerals that heal as they adorn.
This collaboration is but a beginning!
I see art not as an end, but as a bridge. Humanity needs more than objects; it craves experiences weaving the intimate and universal. Thus, I’ve crafted journeys where every jewel becomes a key to sensory rituals: feeling clay in a Taxco
workshop, savoring mole beneath silvered skies, losing oneself in markets where each piece guards centuries of memory.
I invite you on a journey where creating, dressing, and walking become one!
Todiscover, beginning with Taxco, that true elegance blooms when we behold theworld with awe, honoring every culture as a thread in humanity’s grand tapestry.
